I still have fond memories of this consultation: a really successful collaboration between architects and interior designers.
I was contacted by Morena, a Bolognese architect who was working on a large-scale renovation project for the apartment of Veronica and Paolo.

There were two main difficulties:

• Finding a balance between the couple’s very different tastes in furniture colour.
• Lighting an area of the house overshadowed by a badly positioned wall.

To tackle the first problem, I began researching colour, creating a palette of delicate shade with a few brighter touches, so the furniture created a harmonious whole in the space with a sense of depth – the opposite of a simple neutral, flat layout.

To solve the second problem, we proposed 2 solutions, both of which involved partial or total intervention on the existing wall in the wall: 

• the first to partially eliminate the wall by inserting two large sliding glass doors. 
• the second to replace it with a glass brick wall

With both solutions we thus reduced as many obstacles as possible to the passage of light.

Veronica and Paolo immediately embraced both solutions, which were carried out with the support of the team already on site.
