Whether you live alone, with your partner or family, home is a place to come back to where you’ll find healing and be nurture. Your wellbeing comes from the joy of inhabiting your space, of feeling that it’s truly yours - both aesthetically and practically - at all times.
But it’s not quite there yet...
Time moves fast and has brought a lot of changes in your life, which aren’t fully reflected in your forever home. You might have tried a few temporary solutions, but now you feel the time has come to take radical action.
Or you’ve just bought a new house. You love its position and architecture, but its layout and décor don’t reflect you and you’d like to ‘start from scratch’.
You’ve got a few ideas, but you don’t know where to start: you can’t identify what kind of work you want done or how much it costs and you’re not sure whether you have the time and energy for the project.
With SUR MESURE your idea of home will guide us in a complete restyling project that’ll be fun and sustainable. I’ll be guiding you every step of the way, to free up your time and in which the only surprises will be beautiful ones.
How we’ll work together
We’ll make the turnkey project less complicated by working in stages.
our first meeting
This is when I listen to your needs. Together we’ll explore your concept of home and the changes you want to make, through a general survey.
At the end of this visit, I’ll send you a short summary, including an estimate of my costs (10%-15% of the total approximate cost of the work) depending on its complexity.
the preliminary design
Once you’ve approved the estimate, I’ll calculate the surface area of your home, and start work on the creative concept, creating mood boards in tune with your colour preferences and lifestyle. You can choose between two layouts that meet your needs in different ways.
After you’ve looked at the two suggestions, I’ll create a detailed final project that combines the strong points of each. I’ll help you choose the best solutions for your home.
project development
When we have the final floor plan, we’ll focus on the choice of materials and their layout, on furniture and lighting. If you need, I can visit suppliers with you so that your choice will ensure the best finishing touch.
Choosing the right craftsmen is essential for a stress-free work phase.
You’re free to choose the suppliers you want, or I can introduce you to my trusted network.
I can also create 3D renderings of your choices, to help you visualise the final effect.
The final phase involves technical designs: partition walls, false ceilings, flooring and installation, lighting, plumbing, heating and air-conditioning systems. Finally, I’ll be responsible for detailed furniture design, helping you choose or contacting the craftsmen who will make them.
site preparation
After the technical plans are approved, we have all the elements we need to talk to craftsmen and get their detailed estimates and timelines. I will collect all the items in a final project budget, complete with a work schedule and timeframe.
Consulting and site supervision
If you want, I will continue to work alongside you until the final phase of the project, to monitor work, attend site meetings, report on progress and receive materials on site.
Styling
If you wish, I can also help you choose the latest accessories, like curtains, carpets, household linen and decorative items. It might not seem necessary, but together we can give your home the final touch that enhances its personality and makes it a space that is truly yours.
At the end of this phase, I would love to offer you a free photo shoot of your renovated space. It will help me to include it among my best projects and it will be a great memory of our journey together for you.
